SAP continues its commitment to social entrepreneurship and has just launched its new social startups mentoring program with makesense.

For the next six months, 65 SAP volunteers in France will support the promotion of eight startups selected by the incubator for their social and environmental impact and their use of digital solutions.

SAP mentors support entrepreneurs in each startup with the technology components to help them get the most out of their prototyping and business phase to consolidate their model and market approach. All the functions of the company are represented: sales, R & D, marketing, communication, HR, and more.

At SAP France, we believe that digital can bring people together. The program affects all levels of the company. Whether they are young talents or members of the executive committee, they all commit themselves and have something to contribute to make a project grow. Through the sponsorship of skills, internal teams reinforce and give meaning to their missions. This has an impact on motivation since 81% of millenial mentors say they stay at SAP in part for this and 95% of business mentors say they are happier at work. 84% have this feeling of having a positive impact on society.

The 8 startups supported by SAP employees are:

  • Allo Louis is an intergenerational help service. It allows to connect elderly people or people with reduced mobility to use the services of young people from the network nearby to help them in their everyday life: shopping, outings, computer help, and more.

  • CB+ offers retail chains and food manufacturers solutions to effectively fight against food waste and enhance product traceability. CB+ accompanies them to help them put in place modern tools at the height of the stakes.

  • Edumiam is the first nutrition coach connected and specialized in infant feeding. Its goal is to simplify access to quality information regarding the nutrition of children from 0 to 3 years old.

  • Equallywork is the first digital platform for rating companies by employees under the lens of equality and diversity in their workplace.

  • FAVA offers hygienic products that do not compromise on quality or efficiency, based on a single ingredient, certified organic cotton. The startup has built a value chain with a strong and positive impact for every woman and the planet.

  • Popee manufactures the first 100% recycled, 100% chlorine-free toilet paper, 100% French, and delivered to the home in a 100% recyclable packaging.

  • Tigoun is working to make Africa an example of ecological transition. The startup offers producers in sub-Saharan Africa a bag of conservation that is powerful, accessible and environmentally friendly, aimed at providing them with better income while fighting against the massive use of plastic in the sub-region.

  • Tom & Josette is the first network of intergenerational micro-nurseries hosting up to 10 children in secure spaces in a retirement home. Children are supervised by professionals graduating from early childhood. Several times a week, children and residents meet to spend time together with simple, structured activities (reading tales, gardening, taste sharing, etc).

We are more and more numerous at SAP France to invest in this project. The 124 different employees hired for the last 3 years see it as a real opportunity to develop from a professional and personal point of view. This allows everyone to contribute to changing the world and creating a positive social impact. It is a real pleasure to support entrepreneurs who implement solutions that transform sustainable concepts into concrete actions in order to benefit the greatest number.
