Since 2018, Microsoft has intensified its commitment to the training of its network in Spain with multiple face-to-face and online training activities in professional certification courses from its most advanced technologies.

Carolina Castillo, Director of Companies and Partners of Microsoft Ibérica, explained:

“In the past fiscal year we trained in Spain, in different cloud technologies, 10,545 professionals in the ecosystem of partners through training actions tailored to our channel. In view of the success of the calls and the high demand for these types of activities, in the current fiscal year we have increased our training budget by 50%.”

The success in the market for Microsoft's cloud offering, and the company's effort to train its channel in these technologies, corresponds to an extraordinary growth in the number of certified partners in Spain: 6,100 to 9,200 in the last twelve months alone.

“At Microsoft we enhance the innovation capacity of our ecosystem, making it a great business and growth opportunity for our partners,” says Castillo. “Without a doubt, it is a great moment for the channel. There is a growing demand for advanced cloud solutions and we hope that our ecosystem will continue to grow above the market. In Spain, for every euro that Microsoft invoices, our partners enter eleven euros.”

The Microsoft products and services catalog currently consists of about 5,000 solutions, almost double that of a year ago, in areas such as artificial intelligence, IoT, big data, and security.

Advanced Specializations

In order to value the innovation capacity of Spanish partners - enhancing their differentiation and scale - Microsoft has created Advanced Specializations, a program that allows users to obtain a specialization in a specific area of competence. From there after becoming a Gold Partner, it offers the ability to go further in matters such as, for example, SAP on Azure, Kubernetes, or other open source databases in Azure.

These Gold Partners increase their visibility for customers through a priority search ranking, while guaranteeing potential customers the fulfillment of the highest standards of service and support.

Student 4.0

In addition to the training initiatives of its ecosystem of partners, Microsoft has also intensified its work in training students interested in developing their professional career in the technology industry.

Thus, it has launched the Alumno 4.0 initiative, framed in the CreaFuturo program of the Ministry of Economy and Business, focused on training young people for their subsequent employment as cloud professionals within the Microsoft partner ecosystem.

In parallel, the company has intensified its Microsoft Learn AI School and Microsoft AI Business School training programs, which are available for free and allow users to design a specific training itinerary based on their professional profile.
