ADESA currently offers services to leasing businesses and auto markers with its remarketing services to boost change within their fleet
The company currently offers services online and claims it doesn't have the usual physical auction issues. ADESA believes this allows it to offer better solutions while reducing costs and carbon impact of consumers by limiting multiple car movements. The company also believes that by being digital it can also reduce the physical restrictions normally associated with remarketing efforts by allowing its clients to use its mobile app.
The company uses its digital Upstream platform to allow other companies to defleet its vehicles whenever it needs to instead of waiting an entire day for the next auction sale.
While at the Great British Fleet Event, which will be held at the London Novotel West on January 30th, ADESA will show off its ADESA IVI, a smart car inspection service, which claims to be the first introduction of AI into the UK remarketing market.
This new service will allow fleets to lower the amount of time and cost when it comes to defleeting by allowing drivers to conduct entire vehicle inspections using a mobile app linked to the ADESA IVI platform.
This allows businesses to inspect their end of contract vehicles in only minutes as soon as they are defleeted which can decrease depreciation. The car's details will be created automatically along with condition reports using the financial provider's charge-out method and using the BVRLA's wear and tear standards.
The ADESA IVI platform also reduces the reliance on third-party inspections which helps limit cost, time, risk, and need for companies to use compound storage solutions.
The platform also hopes to help fleets lower their carbon footprint by limited vehicle movement which typically includes visiting a third-part inspection company, transportation to storage, then to the auction site where a vehicle is often moved around through storage, and then to the eventual buyer.
ADESA wants to demonstrate what fleets can do while utilizing ADESA IVI including eliminating surprise fees, lower end of contract costs, reduce storage costs, and offer AI created condition and inspection reports.
