Cox will offer solutions that will include Manheim, RMS Automotive, and Dealer Auction services to help gather and remarket PSA Groupe's cars.
Free2Move Lease will also keep using Manheim's Inspection Services to help inspect and gather all cars when they reach the end of their contract.
Also as apart of this expanded agreement, Cox Auto and Free2Move Lease will work together to improve the current end of lease process by giving consumers access to its self-appraisal tool for the 40 days before the contract ends.
The self-appraisal tool will let drivers identify any damage on their car and then return a potential cost so the driver can then choose to set up a repair before the vehicle is collected.
Once the auto lease agreement ends, Manheim has a team of inspectors pick up the vehicle from the consumer and provides a complete vehicle condition report. The vehicles are them moved on to reconditioning or auction as its prepared for the wholesale marketplace.
Mark Pickles, Free2Move Lease, said: “We know how important it is to keep customers informed at the end of their lease, and this self-appraisal tool will give drivers a lot more control over the process and avoid surprises at the end-of-contract inspection.
“The new tool will also allow us to advertise vehicles to the PSA dealer network based on the driver’s appraisal, helping reduce the number of days to sell.”
PSA Groupe will also be adjusting its effort towards remarketing by putting a digital-first focus in place.
This effort will be assisted by Cox Auto's RMS Automotive platform, an international fleet management platform, which will keep track of vehicle details all in one place which should give PSA Groupe the ability to sell its vehicles through several channels.
