Auro launched in 2019 as an application outside of its partner Cabify, allegedly breaching the contract they maintained and, according to Auro officials, to avoid the under utilization of their drivers.
Auro New Transport is the holding company formed by José Antonio Parrondo. In 2017, an extension of almost 10 million euros was carried out, with which Félix Ruiz, Co-Founder of Tuenti and former President of Jobandtalent, interned as partners (and directors); Zaryn Dentzel, President of Tuenti, or Hugo Arévalo, business angel and investor of Hawkers. In addition to the injection of funding provided by Cabify itself, it bought 500 VTC permits earlier this year to operate with its legal 'trick' in Barcelona.
According to sources, both companies will go to business arbitration, with the aim of resolving all the differences they maintain with respect to the contract signed by both avoiding judicial proceedings in court.
