Deliveroo has decided to install its center of excellence for restaurants in Europe in Madrid, which will serve all small and medium-sized restaurants in Europe and aims to generate 70 new jobs this year.

The arrival in Madrid was expected in a market where the collaborative economy is booming.

The Global Vice President of Deliveroo restaurants, Susana Voces, has indicated that Madrid "brings together an excellent combination and multicultural and multilingual talent", in addition to having a very good communication with the United Kingdom and other European countries, "which facilitates collaboration within the markets."

This center will be in charge of the incorporation of new restaurants and will give integral support to the post-entry process, including different stages from its integration in the platform to part of the daily management.

Deliveroo has become a key partner for restaurant growth, with a 30% increase in average sales in restaurants that collaborate with the platform.

According to the study of Capital Economics on the economic impact of Deliveroo in Spain, the company generated 2,100 indirect jobs in Spain during 2018.

The forecasts in this report suggest that in 2020, Deliveroo is generating around 6,100 indirect jobs.

With this expansion, the company shows its clear intention to be a go-to food platform in Spain through the centralization of its services.
