Geely has partnered with third-party retail platforms previously that helped the company push into the online retail market. Now with Geely's own online sales platform on its website the company expects to see more growth.
During the first week of the platform's launch, the company saw online auto sales increased by over five times when compared to the same sales period a year ago.
Geely also saw sales leads from its own website increase by 75 times.
The company will also offer other services including insurance and licensing during the purchase process aiming to create a one-stop retail experience. Consumers can also choose from different financing and insurance providers via Geely's retail platform.
Geely car models include its Jiaji MPV and Bo Yue PRO which are both available on its new platform. The company hopes to expand its retail and delivery services to begin home services where the company would pick up the car, service it, then return it to the owner's home.
Vice-President for Public Relations at Geely Auto, Victor Yang, stated: “The addition of our online sales platform has proven to be a value addition to our sales network in terms of adding new sales and new sales leads to our national wide dealership network. We have always aimed to bring greater levels of convenience to our consumers and our initial results prove that.”
