By setting up the new innovation center, both parties will team up on the R&D of forward-looking technologies surrounding ICV (intelligent-connected vehicle)-used operating system, jointly develop connected infotainment system, smart cockpit, and products focusing on intelligent interaction and driving safety, said GAC Group.
Besides, they are going to co-develop a new-generation ICV platform, as part of efforts to form the smart and connected auto ecosystem.
As the pivot of GAC Group's R&D system, GAC R&D Center not only possesses the ability to develop complete vehicles, but also grasp quite a few core technologies pertaining to such fields as electrification, intelligence and digitalization. With ADiGO, GAC’s self-developed in-car smart ecosystem, at the core, it is dedicated to building platforms of autonomous driving, intelligent connectivity, cloud platform and big data.
According to GAC Group, it is not the first-time collaboration between its R&D arm and ThunderSoft. The connected infotainment system jointly developed by both parties since 2016 has been widely introduced into several sales contributors like the Trumpchi GS4, GS8 and the GAC NE's Aion S.
