Hyundai Glovis launched Autobell amid the rapid growth of the Korean used car market, whose annual trading volume has reached 3.5 million vehicles worth $29.5 billion.
The company said Autobell distinguishes itself from its rivals as it calculates the optimal price based on data from the car auction service it runs.
Since the auction service receives bids from hundreds of used car dealers and sells the vehicle to the highest, Autobell can offer a more reasonable and fair price compared to customer-to-customer or dealer-to-customer trades, which require people to be well-acquainted with used car dealing.
As of 2018, more than 1 million vehicles were put up for auction on Hyundai Glovis' used car site, helping the company amass rich data.
