Monday LinkedIn announced, on their blog, that they have crossed an important milestone, that of 500 million members in 200 countries. This new total is up from 467 million which the network announced in October of 2016.
Launched in Mountain View, California, LinkedIn has been connecting and engaging professionals around the globe since 2002.
The LinkedIn community represents over 10 million active jobs, access to more than 9 million companies, and it keeps its users informed with the top business news which impact its users’ professional world, with more than 100,000 articles published each week.
LinkedIn’s new record breaking numbers comes nearly a year after Microsoft acquired the platform for US$26.2 billion.
