US based apartment portal apartmentfinder.com has announced a partnership with free online classifieds website olx.com.
olx.com, which was founded in 2006, will publish all of apartmentfinder.com’s apartment rental listings within its real estate classifieds.
In a press release, apartmentfinder.com President Marcia Bollinger explained the advantages of the agreement:
“We understand how vitally important it is for consumers to interact with our advertisers’ listings when they are shopping for an apartment. That is why we look for every opportunity to help make that connection, especially on the web. Our partnership with olx.com allows us to offer our advertisers exposure to millions of additional apartment renters while enhancing the online search experience for home shoppers.”
apartmentfinder.com is part of North American print and online real estate publisher Network Communications, Inc. (NCI). The website advertises apartment rentals, including college and military base apartments.
The partnership with olx.com follows another recent deal between NCI and vast.com, which will see apartmentfinder.com’s listings included in the vast.com classifieds aggregate search.
The company will no doubt be hoping these partnerships generate maximum web traffic. apartmentfinder.com has been teetering in and out of the Hitwise Top 100 real estate websites rankings in recent months. Last November it slipped out of the Top 100 before climbing to 84th place in January 2009, but in February again dropped out of the top 100 list.
