The International Consortium of Real Estate Associations (ICREA) has announced it will redesign and relaunch worldproperties.com, its international property forum and marketplace, in the first quarter of 2010.
According to ICREA, the new website will provide a global listing and referral platform to serve its 1.7 million agent and broker members. ICREA has chosen international MLS and referral network Proxio as its technology partner to ensure its 4 million properties are better presented and to make worldproperties.com’s content searchable in 11 European and Asian languages.
“We chose Proxio as our technology partner because they offer a unique set of networking services for real estate professionals, and because they provide all of their services in multiple languages and customisable formats,” said ICREA CEO Thijs Stoffer. “In today’s industry, agents who market themselves and their listings on a global scale are much more likely to do business. The partnership with Proxio will allow ICREA members to easily connect with each other and initiate high-quality referral transactions—across borders and across languages.”
globaledge.co.uk reports that basic networking on the new worldproperties.com website will be free, but that agents will have to pay a small subscription fee to upload properties onto the system.
ICREA explains that worldproperties.com was created as an international forum where real estate associations can share information, discuss the forces of the global economy and facilitate members’ international activities. ICREA aims to provide international standards, networking and referral tools and advocacy for real estate professionals working with property internationally.
