Australian free-to-list portal realestate1.com.au, which currently covers the state of Victoria, is launching a bid for capital by listing on the Australian Small Scale Offering Board (ASSOB).
realestate1.com.au director Christian Ongarello says he initially hopes to raise AUD $1 million to spend on an extensive marketing campaign. Ongarello says this will lead to a “huge” uptake in clients from all areas of Victoria.
“Our exclusive investor meetings have been astounding thus far with many parcels sold prior to launching our offerings on the ASSOB website,” Ongarello says.
“We anticipate that a significant interest will come from real estate agents once the offerings are open to the public as we are constantly informed by our clients and potential clients of the need for a new property portal.”
The ASSOB specialises in capital raising for small and medium-sized companies. It says it is Australia’s largest unlisted securities platform showcasing investment opportunities in high growth unlisted companies. ASSOB states the current value of its listed companies is in excess of $500 million.
realestate1.com.au was first established in November last year. It has a sister portal, realcommercial1.com.au, and there are plans to expand beyond Victoria and for a holiday portal to be established in future. Read our overview of the portal here.
