Number two Dutch property portal jaap.nl has teamed up with the Netherlands' number three player in a listing distribution partnership.
huizenzoeker.nl aggregates sale and rental listings from real estate websites across the Netherlands to provide a property search, and also offers information on market trends and broker contact details. It will now be able to include jaap.nl's properties amongst its listings.
This latest partnership comes soon after jaap.nl partnered with information website omgevingsscan.nl to provide users with a wide range of neighbourhood information. jaap.nl also includes classifieds search engine trovit.com, global property portal enormo.com, and multi-lingual classifieds search provider mitula.com amongst its listing distribution partners.
Along with the new partnership, jaap.nl has added another function to its website that allows users to buy information on the mortgages owed on any house in the Netherlands. jaap.nl director Hans Voorn explained to propertyportalwatch.com that this information comes from the Dutch Land Registry Office, which registers and sells mortgage loan information.
Recent figures suggest these efforts are slowly paying off. According to Google Ad Planner numbers just published on jaap.nl's blog, funda.nl is still number one in the Netherlands with a 44 percent market share and 2.9 million unique visitors per month - the same number of visitors it had when jaap.nl published its last Google Ad Planner figures in October 2009. However, jaap.nl's unique visitors numbers have climbed from 560,000 in October to a current total of 630,000, or 10 percent of the market.
Comparing the current Google Ad Planner numbers to those from October, it seems jaap.nl has been attracting visitors from less popular real estate websites rather than denting funda.nl's audience. huizenzoeker.nl is close behind jaap.nl with 510,000 unique visitors per month, but this is down from 520,000 in October. directwonen.nl is in fourth place with 350,000, down from 390,000. huislijn.nl is fifth and has better news: it now has 290,000 unique visitors, up from 270,000 in October.
While funda.nl still dominates the Dutch market, jaap.nl is clearly on a mission to increase its audience numbers and isn't showing any signs of slowing down.
