UK-based real estate agency NetMovers is hoping their website will stand out with the introduction of a “green” property search.
NetMovers operate on a no commission basis and claim their website contains over £3 billion worth of property. The new property search function, based on the energy efficiency of a home, is scheduled to go live by the end of February.
The company explains it is currently comparing the Energy Performance Certificates of all properties listed on its website. Each property will then be given a rating from A to G and a corresponding colour code from green to red.
“We believe our users should have the opportunity to view property by its efficiency,” said Rick Jones, NetMovers’ operations and development executive. “It is our individual responsibility to do everything within our power to reduce our contribution to global warming, but at the end of the day the facility will be there for people to use and we will see if it is popular or not."
NetMovers is a division of the Reach Global group of companies, which also includes online marketing company Adrac and the Searchers search engine.
