Daft Media Group, parent company of leading Irish property portal daft.ie, has just announced its expansion into the Polish online property market. Their Polish language property portal daft.pl is now live with approximately 60,000 properties.
Daft Media says the new portal covers every major city and town in Poland, and that around 10,000 new listings are being added to it each day. A company spokesperson told propertyportalwatch.com that Daft Media entered into an agreement with Polish property website szybko.pl in mid-2009 and has been working with them on developing local content to ensure daft.pl entered the market with a large number of high quality listings.
"daft.pl hopes to benefit from the positive brand recognition of daft.ie amongst the hundreds of thousands of Polish people who came to work and live in Ireland during the last 10 years," a company statement explains.
According to Daft Media, the Polish market represents significant potential in that it is approximately 10 times larger than the Irish market. And while Internet penetration is slightly behind Ireland at 52 percent versus 66 percent, Poland's Interactive Advertising Bureau says the market for online advertising doubles in size every 12 months.
