Since December 2009, the UK property market has seen no fewer than four new websites joining the fray: One Property Solutions, househustler.co.uk, propertyscout.com, and u-rooms.com.
Now, one more property website has officially launched for the UK market, this time to cater to those looking for rental accommodation.
Initially launched in beta in June 2009, padz.com is based in the UK but is aiming to list rental properties worldwide. The website charges agents and landlords a daily fee of £0.20 per listing and an initial listing fee of £3.
padz.com also offers an "agent channels" service that allows agents to set up free branded websites on padz.com showing all their available properties along with agent profiles and branch contact information.
Other features include a calendar for each property and room that allows users to set flexible pricing and to manage availability for short lets and holiday rentals. Facebook and Twitter listing promotion is also available, and tenants are able to write reviews on the website about properties and agents.
The new website has already attracted attention from central London agency Residential Land, which says it has a portfolio of over 1,200 properties. According to a recent blog post, Residential Land has now added all its available properties to padz.com.
padz.com says it now lists properties in over 20 countries and is seeing approximately 40,000 unique visitors per month. The website's founders are Matthew Wilson and Thomas Karcher, who are both property professionals and private landlords.
