homes24.co.uk, the free-to-list property portal of independent regional UK publisher Archant, has agreed to list all Whitehot Property's stock.
homes24.co.uk says it saw a record total of over 500,000 unique visitors in January, and is hoping the addition of Whitehot's chain-free property will attract even more interest from would-be house hunters.
homes24.co.uk provides a data feed to Google Base, which means it is one of only a few property portals currently displaying listings on Google Maps in the UK. propertyportalwatch.com asked homes24.co.uk commercial director Martin Cunningham about this strategy.
"I was delighted to hear about Google Base, and my immediate view for homes24.co.uk was that it would assist as a fantastic platform for the redistribution of our agent client data and therefore increase marketing coverage and response for our customers," Cunningham explained.
"Indeed, by taking the early initiative - and I believe we were the first portal mover in the UK to do this - it saves our agents the time and trouble of having to set up individual data feeds from their software provider. Our approach also proves to be financially beneficial for many agent clients whose operating software supplier leverages feed fees."
"Providing a direct data feed to Google Base means that the agents' data quality is maintained to provide for quality publishing. After all, potential buyers and renters want an enjoyable browsing experience, and sellers and landlords want their properties displayed in the best light possible."
