farmbuy.com, a rural property portal that joined the Australian market in November last year, is gradually making its mark.
According to the portal, it is now listing rural properties from real estate agency chain First National and has Tasmanian agency Roberts Real Estate on board.
farmbuy.com has also launched a property marketing service offering specialist e-brochures, video, photography, and signage for rural properties.
farmbuy.com allows users to search by farm type, land area and region. The portal sells display advertising space as well as listings, but is not open to private property owners.
The portal is now looking to radio to promote itself. Later this month, farmbuy.com will launch a Victoria-wide campaign on the ACE radio network featuring a weekly segment on rural property.
farmbuy.com told propertyportalwatch.com it saw over 23,000 unique visitors during February. "Considering there are around 140,000 farmers in Australia and 10,000 farms sold each year, we're very happy with the visitation and believe a target of 30-40,000 visitors per month would nearly be the maximum number of speculators in the rural property market in one month," a farmbuy.com spokesperson explained.
