Hot on the heels of zillow.com's latest release, US online brokerage ziprealty.com has come out with an Android app of its own.
The free application offers many of the same functions as ziprealty.com's iPhone app, which was released in December. These include access to listings in over 4,000 US cities along with third-party home value estimates from sources such as zillow.com and cyberhomes.com.
The new Android app also incoporates Google Street View, allowing users to see a curb-side perspective of properties. However, the app does not include the voice-actived search available in zillow.com's offering, or the Augmented Reality function available on ziprealty.com's iPhone app.
"Our iPhone app has been downloaded already more than 125,000 times, and we're confident that prospective home buyers using Android-based phones will enjoy having this vital information about homes and neighborhoods at their fingertips," said Myron Lo, ziprealty.com's vice president of innovation.
