Canadian real estate search engine zoocasa.com is set to relaunch next month, offering new neighbourhood-based advertising options for agents and brokerages.
zoocasa.com came out of beta in September last year, and was reportedly sued soon after by Century 21 Canada for allegedly scraping information from websites provided by Century 21 brokers and representatives without seeking permission.
Now, zoocasa.com is offering agents and brokerages the opportunity to advertise their services through banner ads specific to each neighbourhood. There are four such ads available for each neighbourhood, and zoocasa.com says they have been "selling fast".
Like other property search engines, zoocasa.com does not host the entire listing, but provides details in a summary before linking to the listing on the original website. zoocasa.com says it is now ranked as the second largest website for home buyers in Canada, with over 100,000 house hunters using the search engine each month.
