Danish property portal boliga.dk has released independent figures that show it overtook its main competitors by several thousand visitors in January this year.
The figures are drawn from an analysis by online research institue Gemius conducted on behalf of the Association of Danish Interactive Media. They rank the top four Danish property websites by January unique user numbers as follows:
boliga.dk was first established three years ago, and says the increase in visitors is primarily because of its recent decision to publish trade prices on all Danish properties since 1992.
"I didn’t really see it coming, but of course I’m very proud of the results we’ve achieved," said boliga.dk co-founder Ricco Zuschlag. "I think the main reason for boliga.dk's success is our ability to listen to our users and quickly implement the features that they request. That’s also what fundamentally separates us from our competitors."
boliga.dk also exists in the Swedish and Norwegian markets, and says it accounts for 34 percent of all referrals to real estate agencies in Denmark.
