UK property portal operator The Digital Property Group (TDPG) has appointed three new senior sales managers and says it is aiming to put "further pressure on the number one portal position."
Stephen Gaisford, former head of housing associations at rightmove.co.uk, is now TDPG's head of new homes. Gaisford is joined by former UK and Ireland sales director of 118 118 Media Greg Bryce, who will be TDPG's national sales manager.
The third new appointment is former Time Warner Group property manager Tamsin Luck, who will manage TDPG's key accounts. TDPG says the senior sales management team are joined by seven new additions to the sales team in 2010.
Along with these new hires, TDPG is also highlighting the success of its specialist portal findanewhome.com.
Hitwise figures for the week ending 13 March show findanewhome.com has overtaken smartnewhomes.com and is well ahead of other websites in the new homes category:
While previous figures from both Nielsen and comScore have rightmove.co.uk well in front in the UK market, it seems TDPG is serious in its push for the number one position: TDPG recently announced a £13 million promotional campaign for its brands across March, April and May this year, along with the renewal of findaproperty.com's marketing deal with McDonald's.
