A new UK-based property portal has just been launched with the stated goal of reaching the top of the market by the end of next year.
askthehomesearch.com is run by AskThePropertyChannel Ltd, which also runs a TV listings program twice a week. "Key numbers" from the TV program can be plugged in to the search bar on askthehomesearch.com, allowing users to find more details about a property.
The new portal will charge agents a set monthly fee for unlimited listings. It says these listings will be distributed to a number of regional and overseas portals.
askthehomesearch.com's information for agents states: "as a policy we do not allow private sales or third party advertising." However, a recent press release from the portal says it has just entered into a "listings deal" with UK For Sale By Owner website tepilo.com.
"We don't portray estate agents as wild animals and give the public the impression that the property market is a jungle and it's hard to make the right move unlike some property portals. We don't give the impression that to find a property is like a game of monopoly!"
