iproperty.com.my, the Malaysian arm of the iproperty.com group of portals, says it reached record highs in visitor numbers and agent enquiries over the past month.
The portal says March saw 1,100,000 visitors use it to search for property, which is a 98 percent increase in visits over the same month in 2009 and a 57 percent increase from February totals.
iproperty.com.my says this increase is due to efforts to improve listing quality and user experience, along with its strategic partnerships with classifieds portal mysimplifieds.com and news portal malaysiakini.com.
Along with the increase in visitor numbers, iproperty.com.my says it sent a total of 130,000 property enquiries via email, SMS and phone calls to agents and developers in March, which is a 50 percent increase from February’s total. The portal's internal data shows visitors viewing property listings over 4.5 million times in March - a 50 percent increase from the previous year.
315 new real estate agents started advertising on iproperty.com.my last month, joining an advertiser base of 3,500.
iproperty.com.my is owned by IPGA Limited, which operates portals in Singapore, Malaysia, and Hong Kong and has investments in India and the Philippines.
"It has been a historical month across the iproperty.com network of property portals with Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong websites receiving record breaking highs," said iproperty.com Group CEO Shaun di Gregorio. "We have big plans for the rest of 2010. We are geared for a fantastic growth and I am confident that our talented team will continue to break new grounds."
