The agent ratings and reviews zillow.com began collecting in December 2010 are now searchable in the website's professional directory.
zillow.com says "thousands" of its users have rated and reviewed their agents since the option was added. The system allows users to rate agents on local knowledge, process expertise, responsiveness, and negotiation skills.
Now visitors to zillow.com's professional directory section are presented with results sorted by local agents with the highest overall ratings and greatest number of reviews. The ratings and reviews are available wherever users interact with agents on zillow.com, including for sale listings, Zillow Advice, and in agents' profiles.
"Agent reviews are another huge step towards transparency for buyers and sellers," says zillow.com CEO Spencer Rascoff. "For good agents, it's a terrific way to stand out from the crowd – the next best thing to a referral."
zillow.com's agent reviews were met with a mixed response from US agents when they were announced on activrain.com, with some agents expressing concerns about the potential for faked reviews.
zillow.com has just reported its biggest month of traffic with over 13 million unique users in December 2010 according to Omniture statistics.
