Two weeks on from realestate.com.au's Android app launch, number two Australian property portal domain.com.au has followed up with its own app for Android.
domain.com.au claims this app offers "more features than any other Australian real estate app on Android," including the ability to save listings as favourites and sync with domain.com.au accounts. Users can also view recently sold properties and plan inspections through the app.
The portal adds that its iPhone app has had more than 400,000 downloads since its launch, making it the most downloaded property app on the market in Australia.
Both domain.com.au and realestate.com.au currently have an average rating of 3.5 stars in the iTunes store for their respective apps. domain.com.au picked up the prize for best classifieds, news, media or reference for its iPhone app in this year's AIMIA awards, while the Commonwealth Bank's property search app took out the awards for best financial service, best mobile advertising or marketing, and the “best of the best” award.
Craig Frost was just appointed real estate director for domain.com.au in Melbourne within the company’s new Marketplaces division. The portal says its unique browser total was up 23 percent year-on-year in December 2010, while page impressions reached a record high of 266 million for the month.
