zillow.com's valuation is now at almost US$500 million after the company amended its SEC filing with a new share price of $16 to $18.
zillow.com was valued at $378 million last week, with a share price of $12 to $14. On 15 July, the company filed its sixth amendment to its SEC filing, raising its share price and increasing the amount it hopes to raise to $71.6 million.
The increased valuation comes after vacation rental website HomeAway managed to reach a market cap of over $3 billion after it began trading on the NASDAQ at the end of June. But zillow.com is still yet to make a profit, having reported revenues of US$30.5 million and a net loss of $6.7 million for 2010.
zillow.com is expected to begin trading next week under the symbol "Z".
