Italian real estate portal casa.it, owned by the REA Group and Sky Italia, has reported a 113% growth in revenues for the financial year ending June 30, 2011 generating 12 million euro.
In other key metrics, casa.it also reported an increase to 4 Million Unique Browsers, a 55% increase vs. 2010** and a 16% growth in Real Estate Agencies advertising.
“We are highly satisfied about the achieved results, which consolidate our national leadership as the main real estate portal and confirm Italy as a key global market for the REA Group. The exponential growth recorded in the past few years (+113% YoY) is a direct consequence of our established position, which allowed us to beat competitors both in terms of unique browsers and of revenues, and to become a reliable reference point and a very effective business tool for real estate agencies,” said Daniele Mancini, CEO of Casa.it.
“The achieved results originate from on-going technological investments aimed at offering an easier and straightforward usage experience both to the users and to our partners: in November 2010 we launched the new release of Casa.it portal. Moreover, special care was given, and will be given throughout the next year, to communication on all the media, both online and offline,” continued Mancini.
The media release further reported the results achieved by Casa.it on Social Media were also encouraging with over 6 million views of the Casa.it Channel on YouTube and 32,000 fans on the Facebook page. On Casa.it Mobile, over 250,000 visitors (+150% vs. January 2011) have consulted the real estate ads via their mobile devices (smartphones and tablets), including 40% with an iPhone and 36% with an iPad.
