According to Managing Director, Vic Del Vecchio, the company is keeping true to its niche vision, expanding the site to include holiday accommodations and tourism activities on and near the water.
Del Vecchio said: "We have long believed that holiday accommodation owners and Tourist operators, particularly the small owner/operator, do not have a low cost alternative to the major sites that enables them to be connected directly to the person wanting their service. This is what differentiates us from the majors: cost and personalised service."
Watersidepropertysales.com.au is currently displaying content provided by the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW) under license. Some 20,000 accommodation listings around a waterside location and tourist related activities together with area information and special events are currently being displayed on the site. www.watersideholidays.com.au will benefit immediately from the traffic to their sister site watersidepropertysales.com.au.
"The portal's philosophy of 'free to list', for all listings, will continue throughout the expanded site; but we will also be encouraging managers, agents and owners to upgrade to a more prominent site position displaying more images and more information,' added Del Vecchio.
The site is also looking to provide a classified marine ad section for the waterways of Australia, where consumer goods such as, boats, jet skis, surfboards and fishing gear, among others, can be listed for sale and/or purchased.
With Australia's love of the outdoors, especially for the waterways, this is an industry which will no doubt continue to expand; Ray White has its own niche site Ray White Marine, and more are certain to jump on the bandwagon.
