An angry crowd of approximately 100 international property agents took to the streets in Hong Kong, demanding to talk to Midland Realty's company chairman, Freddie Wong Kin-yip.
Protesters situated themselves outside the offices of Midland Realty in the central business district of Hong Kong, accusing Midland of deducting extra commission payments on deals.
Midland has disputed the realtors' claim, denying any wrongdoing on the company's behalf, and claiming its executives have held meetings with the upset real estate agents, in hopes to resolve issues which may be of concern.
Word on the street implies that, the dispute is not about Midland Realty failing to pay sub-agents their full commissions, instead, that it is about the agents not agreeing with with changes in the company’s senior management.
