Glenn Thompson, General Manager of CommercialAsia.com, one of the region’s largest dedicated commercial and industrial property portals, today reported that the despite speculation of a slow property market growth, the portal experienced substantial growth in unique visitors, up from around 20,000 in January to nearly 50,000 in April this year.
The barely six month’s old portal, which operates under the iProperty Group, offers the most comprehensive listings of office, industrial and retail properties across multiple sub-categories and countries.
“The growth in the number of unique visitors to the site is a clear indication that the interest in commercial property is thriving. Commercial property continues to draw capital and interest from investors all through the region,” said Thompson who has been spearheading the portal since January this year.
He added that to-date, the portal features over 50,000 commercial and industrial properties for sale and lease posted by over 7,000 agents across Asia Pacific.

He elaborated that CommercialAsia.com was designed to provide property investors who are looking for a platform to search for properties outside of their country of residence with minimal hassle.
Commenting on the new features added to the site, Thompson said that as a portal that caters to the needs of investors from around the world, the team saw the need to have multiple languages added to the site, to make the search even easier.
“Consumers now have the option of searching for properties in English, Chinese or Bahasa Indonesia. We are bridging the language barricade with the introduction of the multiple search in different languages,” said Thompson.
He added that another unique and highly innovative feature on the site is the usage of geo targeting, a feature which helps identify the country in which the consumer resides and presents the search box in the most appropriate language. Search results are available in six different currencies.
