The iProperty Group announced that the company’s property search app that enables consumers to search for properties directly on either their iPad, iPhone, Android and Symbian Phone has been named one of Australia’s most innovative products in the Anthill Magazine Smart 100 Index.
The Anthill SMART 100 is hailed as one of the largest awards of its kind in Australia that recognizes 100 most pioneering and innovative products developed by Australian companies.
Delighted by the news that the iProperty Group has clinched the second spot out of a 100 entries, Shaun Di Gregorio, Chief Executive Officer of the iProperty Group, said, “The Anthill SMART 100 recognition symbolizes the persistence of excellence and inspires our drive to remain in the forefront of innovation, creativity and ingenuity in the property industry,”
“By listening and understanding the current market trends and thinking ahead, we are able to create and develop highly innovative products that set the industry’s benchmark. It’s via such an understanding and process, are we able to continuously engage with our customers and consumers,” added Di Gregorio.
Elaborating further, Di Gregorio said that the apps were designed to give property buyers and investors real-time access to properties for sale and rent anywhere and at any time. It allows users to search for property in any vicinity, saving property investors the trouble of driving around the housing or commercial estates of their choice. The app, fitted with a GPS system, enables users to know what properties are for sale or rent wherever they are. The search results can be viewed on a list or map which also gives directions to go to the desired location.
He added that mobile technologies are quickly catching up to traditional browser-based sites and that, by having the right tools at their disposal, consumers can make quicker and better decisions when deciding on their next or first property investment.
He concluded by saying, “We are committed to enhancing the experience of property buyers and investors, including meeting the future needs of our customers and consumers and will continue in our quest to be the first to develop highly innovative products that meet these needs.”
About Anthill’s SMART 100
The SMART 100 Index was developed by Anthill Magazine in 2008 to identify and rank Australia’s 100 most innovative products, by applying a combination of crowdsourcing, collaboration and common-sense.
The outcomes of these applications were amalgamated and short-listed to assemble the Top 100. These profiles were uploaded to the Anthill website for judging. Applicants were invited to seek endorsements from friends, clients and colleagues to determine Anthill’s SMART 100 Readers’ Choice Awards.
At the same time, over 100 ‘maven’ judges were invited to judge 10 applications each, using an online tool developed by Anthill to reflect a set of eight, individually weighted, criteria.
