As the fourth most populous country in the world, Indonesia has great wealth and potential, with tens of thousands of islands, tribes, and local dialects, art, culture, and creators who assemble inventions in various fields.
Oftentimes these creators find it difficult in executing their ideas into final products due to various circumstances. To solve this obstacle, Indonesian pop singer Vidi Aldiano, also known by his name Oxavia Aldiano, launched a new collaborative platform named Krowd.
The platform has been active since August, but the official launch has brought in a new wave of users.
The service has already brought in around 26 project creators and 315 collaborators. The initiators post the idea/concept for the work, then they outline the type of help they need and the type of person they can work with.
Vidi has worked in this sector previously. He came across the idea while working on his album “Persona”, and used Kreavi, a platform that connects artists and clients.
“I turned my album into artbook using Kreavi. It became much more than just a CD. My songs were visualized into artworks by the creators at Kreavi,” said Vidi.
“Working on my own was super hard. My career started to take off once I started working with other artists — photographers, music directors and other creative workers.”
Vidi will begin a roadshow to present Krowd to the masses in the coming months.
