Atos has announced the 20 pre-selected teams of the IT Challenge, an international technology competition for students that celebrates its seventh edition this year, focusing on projects based on Artificial Intelligence and Chatbots to improve the services of the future.
In the operation of the competition, the student teams have developed an innovative use case and created a prototype that uses AI and Chatbots for the benefit of people and/or the transformation of companies. Its ability to develop the solution and bring it to market has also been evaluated.
This edition of the IT Challenge involves teams from 27 countries around the world and its proposals cover sectors such as Health, Education, Finance and the Public Sector.
Gilles Grapinet, Senior Executive Vice President, Global Functions of Atos and President of the jury of the contest, commented that “the enthusiasm that Atos IT Challenge awakens in universities and engineering schools around the world is definitely growing year after year”.
“The quality of the projects has forced us to expand the number of preselected teams to 20,” he added.
The 20 pre-selected teams were chosen by a jury composed of members of the Scientific Community of Atos, a global network of 100 experts.
In the next phase, each team will be assigned a mentor who will provide guidance and advice on how to create the proof of concept, which they will present in May 2018. After this phase, three finalists will be chosen and then, in June, the winner will be announced.
