Get excited Australia, we’re about to receive a brand spanking new ride-sharing service as an alternative to Uber and Taxis, just in time for Christmas and New Years drinks!
Taxify, one of Europe’s largest and fastest-growing driving services, is headed Down Under and it’s promising to provide us cheaper rides with prices set to be at least 5% less than Uber.
But it’s not just customers getting better bang for their buck! Drivers who sign up with Taxify are being promised a better deal, too, as they charge only 15% commission rather than the 20-30% wanted by competitors.
It works in a very similar way to Uber: customers can view where the closest vehicles are on their phone, request a ride and pay through the app.
Taxify currently operates in 20 countries throughout Europe, Central America, and Africa, and Australia will join the growing list with the service soon launching in Sydney.
