WORK180, the gender equality startup, previously known as DCC Jobs, has acquired $1 million through seed funding that they hope to put towards the international expansion of their one-of-a-kind jobs platform. Seed investors included Atlassian Co-CEO Scott Farquhar’s private investment fund, Skip Capital.
The disruptive firm debuted in 2015 under co-CEOs Gemma Lloyd and Valeria Ignatieva to shake up the traditional jobs board model, and is the only platform in the Australia and New Zealand region that “pre-screens employers to ensure their support of women’s careers”.
To list jobs on WORK180, organisations must meet a gender equality benchmark informed by criteria, including pay equity, flexible working, women in leadership and paid parental leave. This information is made publicly available to job seekers through the WORK180 website.
