Australian-led job search firm HomeJobs.ph will shortly have its debut in the Philippines, looking to provide a free platform for those searching for remote and home-based employment.
The formal launch will be completed under Jeremy Raymond, co-Founder of HomeJobs, and boasts already 55,000 sign-ups within a few months. It’s a sign of the growing market of those trying to work from home, and many of the jobs pay more than traditional local work might. Additionally, the vacancies are not just limited to the islands – many postings come from global ventures, including those in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, and more.
“We believe the formal launch will be in one to two months. At the moment we have a team of 10 programmers working on the platform. It is a lot of work,” said Raymond. “We are busy populating the system and contacting employers to be the first ones to register on the system… at the moment, we have close to 1,500 committed employers.”
