HelloCars is one of the first online-only car dealerships for Australia and most recently, has been experiencing a jump in revenue.
HelloCars was launched by Sydney brothers Paul and Michael Higgins in 2016. Unlike traditional dealerships, their business operates without a physical showroom or the ubiquitous pushy sales team. All mechanical inspections, pick-ups, and deliveries are done at the customer’s home.
HelloCars is the brothers’ first foray into the entrepreneurial space, however, their father is one of the best-recognized businessmen in the country. Rodney Higgins founded Mortgage Choice with his brother Peter in 1992, and now his sons have forged their own business together.
Rodney Higgins remains on the Mortgage Choice board, but these days is heavily entrenched in the world of polo as the owner of the Sydney Polo Club in Richmond.
Michael says their father bestowed the belief that they could make a go of their business idea, along with some financial backing to get HelloCars started.
