Bayt.com, the largest jobsite in Jordan and the Middle East, and Mercy Corps, global humanitarian organization, joined forces to launch the job platform “Shagheel”, dedicated to semi-skilled and skilled job opportunities. Using the means, knowledge and technology of both Bayt.com and Mercy Corps, the partnership aims to introduce easy and efficient access to jobs for blue-collar workers who are based in Jordan.

The launch ceremony took place on July 1st at the Four Seasons Hotel in Amman, Jordan. The event was attended by His Excellency Mothana Gharaibeh, Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship; Neal Keny-Guyer, CEO of Mercy Corps; among several other representatives of Jordanian companies and organizations.

Shagheel was specifically designed and developed to meet the needs of skilled and semi-skilled employees. It has a simplified CV builder to allow job seekers to sign up, build a CV, search and find jobs in a simple and efficient manner, and ultimately streamline the process.

“We at Bayt.com are confident that our new platform Shagheel will truly make a difference in Jordan’s job markets and in many people’s lives,” said Omar Tahboub, General Manager of Bayt.com. “Bayt.com is dedicated to empowering all people from all professions and backgrounds and locations. Therefore, we found it essential that we engage with skilled & semi-skilled workers who are vital contributors to our economy but are often in need with the right kind of tools and information to support them in their employment.”
