Burmese property portal ShweProperty today announced that it has named Jens Uwe Parkitny as its new Managing Director to work under CEO and founder Justin Sway. Parkitny comes into his new role with plenty of executive experience under his belt having held senior positions at Expedia Germany and Allegiance Marketing among others. Commenting on his new appointment Sway said:

“We’re very delighted and fortunate to have Jens join our management team. With his experience and success at Expedia and Accor and proven capabilities in strategy, product development, sales and marketing and business execution, we will achieve our business plan. Jens is solid, competitive and a real team player, together we will continue to lead, dominate and shape the Real Estate market in Myanmar”.

Parkitny, who has worked extensively in Asia before being appointed at ShweProperty, expressed his delight at joining and used his first statement as MD of ShweProperty to have a thinly veiled swing at the competition:

“ShweProperty has the most experienced management team and vision in the property portal market in Myanmar. Their exceptional brand, market reputation and penetration with all the top Developers, Banks and Agents are remarkable. I am very impressed by their strong leadership, sound systems, processes and financial governance, which is not available in many other online businesses in Myanmar. I am excited to be joining their extraordinary management team to help drive the business forward in the coming years”.

Today’s news is the second big management signing that the Burmese portal has made in the space of a month as September saw the appointment of ex iMyamarhouse General Manager Grace Ei Thwe Aung as Customer Experience and Transaction Director.
