buyMyplace, an Australian commission-free online real estate company, has reported another growth quarter and appointed a new head of marketing.
The portal’s revenue grew 147 per cent on prior corresponding period (PCP) and 18 per cent on the prior quarter continuing its strong growth. The site also experienced a jump in listings with an 84 per cent increase, up 117 per cent PCP.
buyMyPlace gives vendors control of their home sales, without charging a commission and also offers properties for rent.
buyMyplace CEO, Paul Heath says the company’s growth marks a new record for the portal.
“We are very pleased with the continued and sustained growth of the business,” Heath said. “We continue to focus equally on improving our business fundamentals, whilst also creating new partnerships and product offerings in parallel. This has worked very well for us in generating strong growth and improvement in results as the business becomes increasingly efficient.”
buyMyplace has also welcomed Yvonne Abood into its team, an established professional who will head up the portal’s marketing department.
Ms Abood begun her new position in January and has held held senior marketing positions at Australia Post, Energy Australia, Metricon Homes and Fosters Group as well as leadership roles at Kimberley Clarke and Nestle.
“I look forward to bringing my skill-set from larger organisations to a company as exciting and disruptive as buyMyplace,” she said in a statement.
