BuzzBuzzHome has changed its ‘Forum’ to ‘Chat‘. The company states that, the upgrade is so all-encompassing, and such a leap forward from traditional forums, that they have tossed out the name ‘Forums’ entirely and called it ‘Chat’, allowing for real estate knowledge to be exchanged quicker, more efficiently and more fun.
Key new features of Chat include:
Geotargeting of Locations: Real estate is hyperlocal and so is Chat. Conversations which can be seen are determined by the user’s location. Live in Toronto but want to check out what’s happening in New York City? No problem! Just click the pin at the top right corner of any page and change your location. BuzzBuzzHome has also changed this for their blog. Now, that’s hyperlocal coverage as well.
Where It’s @: Want to reference a development, developer or another user within Chat? Just type “@”, start typing the name, and predictive text does the rest. By @’ing a development, developer or site user, a link is added to whatever you mentioned giving you access to more detailed information.
Thumbs Up: Want to give props (aka compliments) to another user’s reply that you think is helpful, funny or just right on the money? Click the hand icon beside their post to give it a “thumbs up”. The response with the most thumbs up jumps to the top of the page, letting everyone know which is the most thumb’d up (aka best) response.
2-Click Picture Upload: Have a hot off the press construction photo you’d like to share? How about a spiffy new condo rendering? “Chat” gives you the ability to upload your images with just two clicks.
Enhanced Bmail and Info Stream: Users’ Info Stream has been given a boost making it sleeker, smarter and faster.
