Point2 Homes, a digital portal for real estate has hit another milestone, breaking a record after a 47 percent increase in overall traffic in comparison to the same time last year. According to Google Analytics*, with this, Point2 has surpassed the 6 million visits milestone.
The bulk of visits come from Canada, followed closely by the U.S. This overall rise in traffic has also led to a significant 39 percent boost in the number of leads generated for agents in July 2018 compared to July 2017.
According to comScore’s Ranked Category view, Point2 Homes is the fourth biggest listings portal in Canada, right after CREA websites, classifieds site Kijiji.ca and RE/MAX Canada (source: comScore Media Metrix Multi-Platform, Real Estate Category, Language: Other (all except French), Canada, May 2018).
The number of visitors accessing the platform from Canada went up 40 percent, and the top five Canadian cities that generate the most traffic are Toronto, Ottawa, Calgary, Vancouver, and Saskatoon.
In Ontario, Point2 Homes is the fourth largest real estate website (source: comScore Media Metrix Multi-Platform, Real Estate Category, Ontario, May 2018).
Toronto leads by a wide margin, accounting for 430,783 visits in July. Ontario’s capital displays the most significant growth compared to the same period last year, showing a strong 52.3 percent jump. The second biggest growth was recorded by Vancouver, with a 49.5 percent increase.
Of great interest to Canadian and American second-home buyers, the three Latin American countries driving the most traffic to the platform are Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Costa Rica. Mexico leads with a 72 percent growth in traffic, but Costa Rica saw an impressive 209 percent increase, showing the market’s great potential for growth.
Point2 Homes has been actively present on social media, creating an online community of more than 55,000 home buyers and real estate professionals through its Facebook page.
Point2 Homes will be using their investment in advertising solutions to help both members under Point2 and also non-members to take advantage of the new increase in traffic and the exposure that comes with it. Furthermore, all Canadian real estate agents and all international professionals can benefit from the discount offered in this year’s Summer Sale, which began mid-August.
