Launched in 2016 with one goal in mind; to help people on their next big (career) adventure, www.CareerToolKit.com is now enabling people in reaching their career goals by offering them a free career assessment test, consisting of 53 simple questions, helping users uncover their interests based on skills, traits, values and more.
The site sheds a light on a wide range of different careers and jobs so users can gain information about high-paying jobs in an industry that they are actually interested in. “No one wants to jump through all the hoops to get a certain job only to find out it’s not what they actually like. That’s where the career assessment could help someone from following the wrong career path,” says Founder Lisa Parmley.
The career assessment test was developed by analyzing approximately 300 careers and sorting them into 26 different categories. The categories are divided by aspects such as transportation, writing, art, among others. From there, common characteristics of each industry were examined and made into questions.
At the end of the test assessment, users are brought to a results page that ranks all the industries based on the answers given. From there, users can visit the industry pages they ranked highest in and read more about the different jobs available, including information such as career profiles, which give an in-depth look into a specific career opportunity.
Parmley said that CareerToolKit.com doesn’t want to tell users that they should take a specific career and therefore limit themselves to other possibilities and opportunities. “We want to point you in the right direction and then give you all the tools and information you need to make an informed decision based on what you want,” concluded Parmley.
