Carvana is about to come out with a new smell for cars. Called “eau de car” the new scent will replicate that new car fragrance.
“The New Way to Buy a Car Smell” perfume is another quirky advertising ploy by the Tempe-based online used car retailer to show they are everything but a traditional car seller, said Ryan Keeton, Carvana’s Co-founder and Chief Brand Officer.
“Carvana differentiates itself from the traditional dealership model in a number of ways, including our brand voice, which is customer-centric and lighthearted,” Keeton said in an email. “The play on words among ‘new car smell’ and ‘the new way to buy a car’ was fitting and gave us the opportunity to have a little fun, creatively.”
The 17-fluid-ounce glass bottle comes in a traditional perfume box and has a light, fresh smell.
