Italy’s number 2 online real estate platform Casa.it owned by the REA Group has rolled out a revamped site with new functions including becoming the first Italian portal to offer 360-degree image technology.
Following the launch of its new home page in February, Casa.it says it has undertaken a complete upgrade of its website with several improvements from larger images to better filter design and real estate ads with 360 degree technology allowing users to view an “entire room with one click”.
Casa.it says the new 360 degree technology revolutionizes the traditional still photo real estate offering and delivers users a more immersive, engaging visit.
“This simple and useful innovation is an example of the direction we’re decisively aiming for,” says Casa.it General Manager Luca Rossetto.
“With the re-design of the portal we wanted to increase the effectiveness of our real estate showcase by giving users the ability to upload immersive 360 ° images.
“We also researched users’ behavior to determine the easiest, most practical and immediate search results home buyers were looking for.
“From now on Casa.it users will experience the sensation of being inside the property, with a greater awareness of the environment and space.”
In addition, Casa.it has rolled out:
- A new design presenting the cleanest, most minimal interface for navigating information more quickly and making it more usable and appealing.
- Larger photos. Ads on the site have been enlarged to allow easier selection of the most interesting properties. The slideshow has been enhanced to make it more prominent and a new full screen gallery added with scalability to allow the display of maps and street views.
- A new filter design. Located to the right of the ads promote better navigation, filters are larger and easier to fill to allow faster selection of property characteristics users are looking for. Filters are also dynamic: the results are updated automatically based on the desired search.
- An ad suggestion function Using a dedicated retail property page, the Casa.it system now suggests another 9 ads with similar characteristics to the original search.
