CommonFloor Groups claims to be India’s largest apartment management tool with over 1 lakh gated communities and ten lakh residents using it across the country.
The ERP level tool offered by CommonFloor is a free of cost solution for gated communities to provide an efficient and user friendly private portal dedicated to enabling better communication, management and coordination amongst residents, owners (residents or non-residential landlords) and RWAs (Resident Welfare Associations).
The app has been launched to keep residents connected with their apartment communities on a 24X7 basis. Apart from offering many web based features on mobile, the app aims to add significantly to the experience of CommonFloor Groups as it enables residents to report a problem with images as soon as they witness it. In many cases, a picture adds a lot of value to the discussion. For e.g., one can click a picture of water leakage, garbage, wrong car parking or even a sleeping guard to share it with residents and RWA members who can then take quick action to resolve it.
Another significant feature the app offers is the facility to share messages in groups and sub groups along with one on one messaging between residents / owners. These features give the app a flavour of a private social network that connects neighbours with each other. Such networking is particularly useful in addressing several day to day requirements that revolve around one’s place of stay like finding a maid, finding good vendors, reviews on nearby services etc. Suggestions from neighbours can save a lot of time and effort. Other important facilities that the app offers include complaint management, ability to view personal dues, track payments, seek recommendations, view notifications and put up notices.
Mr. Vikas Malpani, Co-founder CommonFloor.com and Head – CommonFloor Groups said, “We are very excited to launch CommonFloor Groups app. As a tool, the app aims at connecting neighbours and mobile helps us unlock its true potential in terms of new usage scenarios and 24X7 connectivity. Residents can now be informed of issues, send and receive reminders for pending dues in a very effective and easy manner. We are confident that being present on mobile will make the app more engaging and meaningful for all our users. We expect a multifold increase in number of app users in the next 6 months.”
The app also makes use of Android’s push notification system to keep owners and residents updated about latest developments in the gated community. Information that is delivered through notifications includes notices, discussions, messages and complaints and addition of new members. The company is also exploring opportunities to make relevant information ‘Google Now’ friendly, going ahead. It also plans to add a host of new features in upcoming versions that will make the app more social.
