How would you describe portal.chat?
Portal.chat Ltd. is a Software house, developing and supporting enterprise level sales lead generation systems for portal websites. The portal.chat system benefits portal owners, advertisers and prospective customers by seamlessly connecting web visitors to advertisers via live chat, video and AI powered chatbots.
Where are you based?
We are based in the UK with a sales office in The Netherlands and a R&D department in Bulgaria.
How many people work at portal.chat?
In 2017 we have 6 full time personnel and 4 part time personnel.
What makes your company unique?
We are unique because we offer our clients white label solutions which helps them to further strengthen their brand in their respective markets. When a portal website in a particular market purchases our live chat system, we will have published their live chat mobile apps using their branding, which is fully integrated with their existing in-house systems.
How long has the company been running?
Portal.chat Ltd. has been in business for 3 years. The company has evolved from our previous business www.promptchat.com, which has been running for 10 years.
What motivates your team?
We are motivated by developing cutting-edge software and offer the “wow factor” that our prospective clients do not get anywhere else.
What’s one of the most important things the company has learned so far?
We have learnt that simplicity goes a long way when deploying new software for a large user base; users want results first and once results are delivered they will start learning a new application.
What is a major business challenge you have faced at portal.chat and how have you overcome it?
People are already busy and they don’t like “new things”. We have automated the deployment and commissioning of our solution to the highest possible level, allowing users to take advantage of the benefits without having to do anything out of the ordinary in their daily routines.
What’s the best thing about working at portal.chat?
We work with a range of international businesses, who each have a different culture. Learning about cultural differences makes business pleasurable.
How do you differ to your competitors?
We have focused on a particular market segment, being the property and automotive portal websites. Our system is dedicated to these markets, which we feel gives us the leading edge over our competitors.
What are you most looking forward to at the PPW Lisbon conference?
We look forward to presenting our new Augmented Reality Property Portal mobile apps to European-based portal website owners.
