Zillow announced a partnership with the Connecticut Multiple Listing Service. The CT MLS listings will appear on the Yahoo!-Zillow® Real Estate Network and across Zillow’s popular platform of mobile apps.
According to comScore® Media Metrix, the Yahoo!-Zillow Real Estate Network is the largest real estate network on the Web, and the most-visited real estate entity in Hartford and New Haven, Conn.[i]
“We’re doing what’s right for CT MLS agents, home sellers and home shoppers by providing accurate listing data to a well-known, respected, high-traffic real estate portal,” said Cameron Paine, CT MLSs chief executive officer.
“This is great news for agents, consumers and the Connecticut MLS as it offers a definitive set of pristine data on Zillow and assures that listings will be seen by hundreds of thousands of local home shoppers, within a legal framework which protects the interests of the MLS, brokers, agents and home sellers,” said Greg Schwartz, Zillow’s chief revenue officer.
The partnership will provide certain protections to CT MLS: CT MLS listings will be displayed only on the Yahoo!-Zillow Real Estate Network, the listings will take priority over listings from other data sources unless a broker provides their listings to Zillow in a direct feed and the listings will be updated multiple times each day to ensure accuracy of listings data.
